Happy Cinco de Mayo... I love guacamole... my husband on the other hand absolutely cannot stand it... so I say yeah more for me ...LOL just kidding honey love ya.... this is simple and delicious...

Guacamole

2 avacados
1/2 lime
1/4 jalapeno, finely minced
1/4 tsp garlic, finely minced
2 green onion, thinly sliced
1/4 cup finely chopped tomatoes
seasonings of your choice ( I use cumin, sprinkle of chili powder, salt & pepper and onion powder)
Tortilla chips

Mash ripe avacados with fork till chunky, sprinkle with lime juice mix well. Add remaining ingredients mix well.  Cover with plastic wrap pressing wrap to the top of the guacamole and let sit in fridge for around 15 minutes.  Serve with tortilla chips... and maybe a margarita or two... LOL just kidding.. enjoy

  1. Thanks so much for posting this. We both love avocadoes, but rarely do I ever make guaco...sounds easy enough and soooo mouth-watering!

  2. Joelle - have you ever heard that adding the pit in the middle of the guaco keeps it from turning brown? I've always wondered if that's true...??

  3. Thanks Marsha... I have heard that and done that and it does NOT work.. :( that's why I only let this sit for a very short while (and also the garlic gets a little over powering if it sits much longer as well..just a fyi)and we eat it quickly... my oldest son and I love love love this...I also sometimes add black olives to this (chopped) but only if it's me eating it.. my son hates olives.. can you imagine??LOL I love olives
